Skype Keys in on Small Business
Skype has always been the cool desktop app for individual users, but now a definite push toward serving small business has revealed the future of Skype. There is a a new website (skype.biz) dedicated to it, in fact, as well as a blog for small business customers. They have created a company control panel so that someone can manage all of the Skype accounts in the firm from one spot, and it also lets you share Skype credits with colleagues.
There are also some interesting extras at this site including Unyte. Unyte is a desktop sharing plug-in that complements a Skype chat or voice call with a fully graphical web conference. This can potentially replace WebEx if all users are Skype-enabled.
